Profile of the position:

Job Role
  • Provide production support for Oracle databases
  • Monitor and address database capacity and performance issues
  • Disaster preparedness.
  • Fully analyze performance issues in most critical Oracle databases.
  • Identify tuning opportunities, implement improvements and advise developers on SQL tuning options.
  • Patch and upgrade databases
  • Interact with fellow Database Administrators to disseminate process and configuration improvements
  • Interact with application developers and management as well as database and database tool vendors
  • Administer production and development/test databases
Knowledge, skill and competencies
  • Advance knowledge of SCCM and SCOM product suite
  • Advance knowledge of SCCM Administrator Console

  • • Configure Remote tools,
  • • Manage Software Distribution, Inventory, Software Metering
  • • Manage and troubleshoot SCCM Server components
  • • Configure Operating System Deployment via SCCM
  • • SCOM Administrator and Operator Console,
  • • Basic knowledge of Microsoft SQL 2005,
  • • Expert understanding of MS Windows server administration (e.g. Windows Server 2003 Enterprise and Standard Editions, Windows 2008 / 2008 R2MS Exchange 2003, MS Windows Server 2003, Blackberry Enterprise, Windows server update service, WINS/DNS/DHCP servers, print servers, etc.) and Network Management.
