Designation Senior Desktop Engineer
Profile of the position: He/ She has solid know-how of this underlying technologies. He/ She has experience in providing customer support over the phone and vie e-mail. This position has no direct reports and usually works very independently on the cases assigned to him/her.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Maintain & support all technical infrastructure
  • Project Management of resource to local IMS team
  • Provide 2nd Level Support to all departments Schedule time estimates for projects / task deliverables, progress & time estimates for completion.
  • Scheduling and re-scheduling of multiple tasks, to cope with unplanned activities or interruptions to the current tasks
  • Assist in the assessment of new platforms and procedures
  • Delivery technical projects in a timely manner
  • Train new and less experienced staff in a variety of techniques, applications and procedures
  • Provide a patient approach to problem solving
  • Resolve or call out the appropriate vendor for timely resolution
  • Maintain and support all remote technologies i.e. LANDesk, Active Directory, Citrix etc..
Knowledge, skill and competencies
  • Experience in dismantling / assembling desktops
  • Good Customer handling skills
  • Trouble shooting skill on Windows 2000 / XP / Vista / 2003
  • Knowledge on Hardware Assembling and troubleshooting
  • Knowledge of RAS Remote connectivity Tools
  • Installation and trouble shooting skills on all Microsoft Applications and Software's.
  • Knowledge of Networking (LAN)
  • Knowledge of configuring & troubleshooting email Clients
  • First Level Exposure to the basic technologies
Desired Qualification Diploma / BE / BSc
Desired Experience Should have 3+ yrs of experience in providing Level Support to all departments Schedule time estimates for projects / task deliverables, progress & time estimates for completion.
